Peace of mind

Belong apartments are independent living settings where people can enjoy full privacy and independence. There is however support in place to ensure a sense of security for apartment residents and reassurance for their family members.

All apartment residents are issued with pendants to ensure 24-hour emergency response. This service is provided by Belong’s on-site nursing and support teams, ensuring a rapid response from Belong-trained team members, who are often familiar faces to our customers.

Daily checking service

Apartment residents also benefit from a daily checking service if they wish to take advantage of this service. This is included within the community fee, as is the 24-hour emergency response.

A member of our reception and admin team will typically call each morning to provide a daily check and the opportunity for residents to order bistro meals for that day, report any issues or just enjoy hearing a familiar voice.

More intensive support

For those who need more support, home care packages can be provided in their apartment, either by our registered home care service, Belong at Home, or an alternative provider of residents’ own choosing.

Other support options include Belong Experience Days, our specialist day care service, which is provided in the village and can provided the opportunity to enjoy activities as part of a structured day, with support in place to give usual carers a break.

Belong apartment customers are also able to access 24-hour care in our households for periods of respite, often before returning to their apartment. This flexibility ensures we are able to support people as their needs change.
