"Cannot speak more highly of Belong from when my mother first arrived there, pleasant staff knowing their jobs and giving my family the confidence she was in good and safe hands as she was a very sick lady. Her room was ultra clean, light and airy. Medical staff and carers were kind and sympathetic and I noticed how well they interacted with the residents, talking to them as equals. Nothing was ever a problem, they had a solution for any concerns about our mum that we had. Overall, super impressed! Bistro staff also offered us a break from the room so we could have breakfast or lunch or just a coffee. Staff there also very pleasant. Overall, no complaints, would highly recommend Belong. Thank you. "
"Belong Warrington provided excellent respite care for my father-in-law for five weeks. The quality of care and the professionalism of the staff were excellent, as were the facilities.
Staff were always available to discuss any issues. Respite care provided my wife and I a well-earned break off for over three years of looking after my father-in-law. We shall do it again! "
"There is a world of difference between a care home and a home that truly cares. Which is why we are delighted to share our appreciation and gratitude for the exceptional service and compassionate care my mother received during her time at Belong. The level of empathy, kindness and professionalism demonstrated by the entire care home staff far exceeded our expectations and made a significant positive impact on both my mother's well-being and our family's peace of mind. From the moment my mother arrived at Belong, she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff took the time to understand her unique needs, preferences and personality, ensuring that her care plan was tailored specifically to her. This personalised approach not only addressed her physical needs but also honoured her emotional and mental well-being. I'll be forever thankful for the incredible work you do and the remarkable difference you make in the lives of those you care for. "
"My husband moved to Belong Warrington eleven days ago. Previously he had regularly attended and loved the excellent Experience Days offered at Belong. The staff always made him feel very special. This positive experience together with initial meetings with the manager gave me the confidence to choose Belong for my husband's ongoing dementia nursing care. In the short time he has been a resident I have been very impressed by the philosophy, physical environment, and caring staff. Inevitably issues arise in any establishment, especially in the early days as staff and residents get to know each other better, but I have been greatly impressed and reassured by the exemplary response of the manager and other staff to a problem I raised. Commendably the manager is highly visible and present to residents, relatives, and staff alike. The staff in the 'household' are very kind and thoughtful and the chef keeps him well-fed with a soft diet and hot chocolate. Thank you all so very much! "
"Mum moved into Belong Warrington after us taking her out of another care home (she wasn't being looked after or cared for). When she was in there, I had so many sleepless nights worrying. Since being in Belong, she has gained weight, looks well and seems settled and happy. It is such a relief to know she is happy and properly cared for. Thank you."
"Our experience of Belong Warrington to date has been excellent on all levels - from the initial enquiry until the day my mum moved in as a new resident. We have been made welcome, as a family, and treated with kindness and understanding by the manager and all the staff at every stage of our Belong journey. It is very reassuring to know that my mum is safe and cared for in her new life and is moving forward as a resident at Belong Warrington. Many thanks to you all."
"Following my Dad's Alzheimers diagnosis in September 2023, I didn't know where to turn to help. Dad lives alone and we had to organise suitable care at home but being at home for long periods alone and myself having to work full time just wasn't helping him or his diagnosis.
I looked into several daycare providers but didn't find anything suitable for my dads needs until I visited Belong, Warrington. My dad started attending Belong Experience Days once per week in February and has since increased his visits to twice weekly due to the benefit these are giving him. He loves his dominoes, helping with the garden and really enjoys it when they have music days.
He loves his visits and the staff are amazing with him, he always tells me they make a fuss of him. Honestly, I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have given my Dad and he has also found some new friends along the way. "
"The whole experience for my nana has been excellent. From her first day of arriving at Belong, she settled in really well.
The overall transformation in her is brilliant. She's eating and drinking more and enjoying her life again, taking part in the daily activities.
So glad we made this decision for her!"
Belong have welcomed and settled my mum into her new home. The kindness, care and attention she has been shown has been second to none. All the care staff and ancillary staff take time to engage with her and she feels loved and cared for. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They definitely go above and beyond.
"The staff are very friendly, conscientious and hardworking. They are always very welcoming and treat my father as if he were a loved family member. "
"Mum had just come out of hospital and needed some special care to help her recover and Belong Warrington Specialist Day Care definitely provided this. The staff listened to what we needed and gave good suggestions for Mum's care. In a couple of days, the improvement was so noticeable. The staff have been brilliant, caring, thoughtful, putting Mum first and going out of their way to ensure she is happy. You all got a big hug and thank you from all of the family."
"Absolutely brilliant. If I could give more than 100%, I would do so."
"We moved Mum from her home town of Leicester at the end of 2023 so we could be closer to her. We're more than happy with the care she's receiving. She is in her 90s and has dementia. The households of no more than 10 people are much better for her than the large unit she came from. It's quiet, peaceful
and comfortable for her. She's well taken care of and they treat her with care and consideration. I'm so glad she's there. Thank you to every member of staff who is helping to make her final days the best they can be."
"We first experienced Belong through Belong at Home. They were incredible from the start. From understanding Mum’s individual needs in her own home to encouraging her in social situations post-COVID. Eighteen months on, Mum is lucky enough to now live at Belong in the independent living element. She is now able to socialise independently, shopping both with and without support. She is so happy. They have carefully considered and introduced individual adaptations to meet Mum’s needs. As a family, we enjoy immensely The Bistro! We always enjoyed eating out with Mum, now it feels we still can in an environment Mum is familiar and happy in and people who understand her challenges. Christmas Day lunch was so special too. The food is incredible and cooked fresh, the staff can’t do enough to help. The Belong staff feel like an extension of our family and always greet you with a smile, nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you to every single one of you, you have made a difference."
"My uncle spent the last twelve/eighteen months at Belong Warrington, they gave him decency, help and everything included in what family provide. He loved each and every one of his carers and all household staff. He played piano for residents until his fall but he was made to feel very respected in his final days."
"From February to September 2023, my husband was cared for by a team of dedicated, caring staff at Belong Village, Warrington. As a family, we found the facilities and overall standards throughout the establishment excellent and the support, guidance and advice offered to us invaluable. Thank you for your very special end-of-life care."
"Unfortunately, my relative passed away, but Belong was kind enough to take him back there for end-of-life treatment. He passed in a lovely room with sensory equipment, including gentle lighting, soft music and aroma scents. All peaceful, calming and gentle and with the utmost dignity. His wife moved into Belong two weeks ago - the staff are so kind and caring. The food being cooked looks delicious. Overall the most lovely home-from-home care and treatment. My relatives were in another home before they moved to Belong and that was so regimental and strict. Belong is perfect in every way."
"Dad arrived at Belong almost 4 weeks ago looking tired, drawn and grey following 13 weeks in the hospital. He received the warmest of welcomes and we could not be happier that this is where Dad now lives. He looks 100% better already, he is receiving the best of care, he eats freshly prepared home-cooked meals every day and he has activities and entertainment available to him twice daily if he wants it. He's busier and more stimulated than he has been for years! His accommodation is lovely, a private room with ensuite facilities and a fabulous homely open plan living area and kitchen. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the staff are incredible. This is what all care homes should be like! Thank-you Belong."
"Very happy with my mother’s care. Although she has dementia and it is hard to get her opinion, she is clearly well looked after and content. She obviously enjoys the food and feels at home. "
"I would like to commend all of the staff, management and household teams for their continued exemplary service, loving attitude and charisma that they have displayed towards the elderly residents in their charge. I think they are an inspiration to us all and an example of how we should treat each other in these trying and worrying times. It's about time that their selfless acts of love and kindness get noticed and made public in order to get the recognition they all deserve. I truly hope that similar, like-minded people are around should I ever need to be cared for when I'm of a similar age."
"My wife spent the last four years of her life at Belong Warrington. She was cared for by the "Family" of carers and staff who all gave her the best possible care in every respect, she was happy there and I couldn't have wished for a better environment than they provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending Belong Warrington to anybody who needs caring for."
As a charitable organisation, Belong re-invests all income into its services and we are active members of the National Care Forum.
