This week we're taking part in Dying Matters week. This year’s theme, ‘The way we talk about Dying Matters’, focuses on the language that we use, and encouraging those all important conversations we have, around death and dying.

Throughout the week we will be have conversations with colleagues and residents and sharing our answers with you.

Today we spoke with 2 colleagues and asked a number of questions.

Our second interview was with acting Village nurse manager paul woodcock here is his response:
Q: What would be important to you after death?

A: I don’t want a funeral, I want everyone to have a huge party and listen to Cher music! I want my ashes to be put in a firework to send me off in style.

Q: What are your worries about dying?

A: I am not scared of dying, but I am scared of dying young.

Q: What would you want written on your head stone?

A: “I told you I was ill!”

Q: What would be on your ‘bucket list’.

A: To be able to ride a horse for as long as possible before I die.

Thankyou for sharing you wishes with us paul.

We look forward to sharing more stories as the week commences
